Dispatch

MintBoon is a retailer of Japanese trading cards, shipped by us directly from Japan.

Every order is prepared and inspected in Japan before dispatch, then shipped from Japan with tracking.

Shipping is charged once per order, however many cards it contains. The exact amount for your country is shown in the table on this page, and again at checkout before you pay.

If a parcel is refused, goes unclaimed, or cannot be delivered, what happens to the shipping cost is set out in our refund and cancellation policy, along with the rules for cancelling an order and for an item that arrives damaged or not as described.

Countries we serve

We currently ship to Australia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and the United States. These are the destinations selectable at checkout.

If your country is not on that list, contact us before ordering — we handle other destinations case by case rather than through the standard checkout.

Tracking and insurance

Every order is shipped from Japan with tracking, and the tracking number is provided when the order dispatches.

Insurance depends on the service you choose at checkout. The Insured service is covered against loss and damage; Economy is tracked but NOT covered, which is why it costs less — if an Economy parcel is lost or damaged, there is no cover to claim against. The table above states which is which, and the choice is yours on orders below the free-shipping threshold.

On the Insured service, cover is limited to the value declared for the parcel and to the carrier’s own maximum, so a claim is settled up to that declared amount rather than automatically at the sale price.

Import duties and taxes

Except for shipments to the United States, shipments are Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU): you are the importer of record, and any import duty, VAT or GST is set and collected by your own country, not by us. The table above gives the position for each destination we ship to.

United States shipments are Delivered Duty Paid (DDP). A 12% import-duty and clearance surcharge is added to the product price at checkout, and duties are prepaid before dispatch.
