Refund and cancellation policy
Cancelling an order
You can cancel an order at any time before we ship it. Email us and we will cancel it and refund you. Once an order has shipped it cannot be cancelled — see Returns below.
A buyer-requested cancellation is refunded at 90% of the amount you paid. The deduction is 10% of your order total — the same total shown on your confirmation — so you can work out the refund before you ask for one.
The 10% retained covers the payment processing on the original charge. Our payment processor charges that fee on the full amount you paid — the item, the shipping and any prepaid import duty — and does not return it when an order is refunded.
If we cancel — because an item turns out to be unavailable — you are refunded in full, or sent an agreed substitute. That choice is yours, and nothing is deducted.
Returns
Orders are not returnable once dispatched. The items we sell are individually selected collectibles whose value depends on condition and provenance, so we do not accept returns for change of mind, for a card that did not meet a personal expectation, or because a market price moved after purchase. Check the listing, the grade, and the photographs before you order, and ask us anything you are unsure of first — we answer pre-purchase questions in detail precisely because the sale is final.
This does not limit your rights where an item arrives damaged, is not the item ordered, or materially differs from its description. Those are covered below, they are handled at our cost, and nothing on this page restricts them.
Damaged, incorrect, or not as described — tell us within 48 hours
A claim for a damaged or incorrect item must reach us within 48 hours of delivery and must include photographs or, better, a video of the unopened parcel being opened. Record the sealed outer packaging with the shipping label visible, then the item as it comes out. Keep all packaging until the claim is settled.
Where a damaged or incorrect item is confirmed, we pay the return postage and issue a full refund, or send a replacement if one is available. No cancellation deduction applies to these claims.
The evidence is assessed alongside the listing, the order record, and the returned item. We can only pursue a carrier or insurance claim on this evidence, so a report without it may not be recoverable — filming the parcel as you open it is the single thing that protects you here.
Condition, authenticity, and how a claim is judged
Every order is checked against its listing before dispatch. The order record — the item and grade ordered, the price agreed, and the carrier and tracking number — is stored against the order ID and, with the carrier’s tracking and insurance records, forms the evidence used to assess a claim that an item received differs from its description.
PSA-, BGS-, and other professionally graded slabs rely on the named grading company’s authentication and grading, carried out independently of us and sealed in that company’s own case. Sealed products are supplied factory-sealed and are never opened or repacked by us; we make no claim about their contents beyond the product as described. For any item, contact us if what you receive materially differs from its description.
Refused, unclaimed, and undeliverable parcels
If a parcel is refused at delivery, left unclaimed until the carrier returns it, or cannot be delivered because of an incorrect or incomplete address, the outbound and return shipping costs are deducted from any refund. The address supplied at checkout is the address we ship to — our shipping policy sets out how delivery works.
Where import duty was prepaid at checkout, that duty is not refunded on a refused or returned parcel. It was paid to the destination authority before dispatch and is not returned to us. A refund of prepaid duty is claimed from the destination authority by the importer, so if you want to pursue it, tell us and we will provide the shipment and customs paperwork you need to file the claim.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Card payments are processed through Stripe for order totals of US$1,500 or less, and card disputes are handled through Stripe’s dispute process.
For an order above that total we arrange payment with you by email first, so nothing is charged and no order is held while that conversation is open.
Every refund is recorded against your order, whichever way you paid, so the amount and the date are on the order record you can ask us for at any time.
European Union consumers
Following changes to VAT and customs rules, we are currently not selling to European Union countries. The paragraphs below apply to EU orders placed before that change, and to the statutory rights of any EU consumer who has bought from us.
Consumers in the European Union have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days of delivery, and that right applies to EU orders regardless of the paragraphs above. To exercise it, tell us within 14 days of delivery and return the item within 14 days of telling us.
On a withdrawal, return postage is paid by you, and the return must be tracked and insured for the item’s full value: until the parcel is back with us it remains at your risk, and an item that arrives damaged, or does not arrive, is not refunded in full. Outbound shipping is refunded only up to the cost of the cheapest standard delivery we offer to your country — never an express or upgraded service you chose. Any import duty we prepaid on your behalf is not refundable to us by the destination customs authority and is therefore not refunded to you. Your refund is issued after the returned item reaches us and has been inspected, to the original payment method.
Some items lose the value the refund is measured against once handled. A sealed product that has been opened, and a graded slab returned outside its original unbroken grading case, have lost the condition the price was set against. These are refunded only to the extent of their remaining value, and a slab whose case has been cracked or tampered with has no resale value as a graded item and is not refunded. Handling beyond what is needed to establish the nature and condition of the item — the same inspection you could make in a shop — is deducted from the refund.
Fixed-product retail, not gambling
MintBoon sells identified physical products, including sealed boxes and boosters. Sales are ordinary retail purchases of the product shown, not raffles, loot boxes, wagering, or gambling.
Age verification is not required for these products: trading cards are neither gambling products nor adult-only products.
